Recommendations

John is an excellent and engaging tutor. He adapts his lessons to meet my needs, has great insight and experience and really helps bring what is often a confusing array of tools and language, to light, He has worked around my existing knowledge and helped me with the basics that I missed by being self taught, What is even more helpful, is that he helps me learn how to manage my own projects during his sessions so I can transfer my work to different systems and people. He’s also great company and very friendly. Really glad I started to work with him. Would recommend him without any hesitation.

"I trained under John at the academy of contemporary music and later assisted him at Metropolis studios on session. He’s not someone who’s simply read the material, he’s years of professional experience and insight who helped shape my career. More over as with every great teacher, he does it with personality, making for a great learning experience"  ...

"I started working as assistant to John Gallen over 40 years ago, he inspired me like no other engineer in terms of mixing approach, and can't stress how lucky you all are to get this opportunity... there's not many engineers around with John's heritage and insight... grab this opportunity with both hands if you want straight up critical guidance without the bullshit" Paul Borg

"I Consider myself extremely lucky to have been assigned to your class every term (except one) for the 2 years that I was at ACM. Thank you for everything you taught us! Highly recommend to anyone considering this  ...
